Compaq Presario CQ40-419TX windows XP Drivers


For me this model is a difficult model to downgrade for XP, the readon i sfor the audio driver, anyway here is the driver i listed base on my knowledge, after download and install inform the progress.

HP Quicklaunch button
Download (sp43616)

AUDIO:
install ms-uaa fisrt before IDT high definiton audio codec
MS-UAA ,
Download MS-UAA

Restart after ms-uaa installation

Then High definition Audio CODEC

or
1. sp41693, vista driver, reported work in XP here
or
2. sp39671, vista driver, reported works in XP here or here
or

If you cant install directly, use force method, open device manager and update suond driver(yellow mark on it) select update driver, not to automatically, select ill choose driver to install, browse the c:\swsetup\SP41693 or SP39671), select the "inf" file and force to install

Download

If you have bluetooth:
Dowload

HP update
Download

Cyberlink YouCam Software
Download

If you had for 7 unknown devices (buttons drivers) here

Do manual installation

Go to device manager, right click unknown device,

Choose to update driver, No to connect,

Choose install from a list or specific location, Don't search, Have disk,

Browse to the location of machine.inf.

Do it for the rest of unknown devices

    I was try for every drivers here and all works except driver for Nvidia.
    How can I install that? Any special steps for install?

  2. Ok there are two optons andri:

    1. First i suggest go to Nvdia Driver Download page, there are two options there, select the second one "automatically find my drivers for my nvdia products.

    2. lets try force method here: open device manager by right click on my computer and select manage. on the new window appear select device manager and select display, there should be yellow mark on it, right click and select update driver, select from specific or advance loacation, next, dont search i will choose driver to install,next and then browse to c:\nvdia and select the inf file

  4. i collect the driver base on the info from the vista drivers, and on the vista drivers there are chipset drivers for this model, so just check the device manager, if there are missing drivers (with yellow mark), may be its the chipset misssing, otherwise, no need for the chipset.
