    1. Thank you for the ID's it really helpful, for now I found that one of the driver match is Winxp_14466 (the link i gave earlier is 14411).
Second both ID lead me to this verion of driver:
6.14.0010.5337 which both of them lead to ati and intel driver, but it is for the dll. The problem is dll version not refer to driver version and very few database refer to dll version.

The best driver i found so far (another tablet use the same devices Intel HD3000 with radeon 6470M, and there are official release for XP, but i come along with xp enhancement so i prefer you install the enhancement first before the driver.

      Xp Enhancement: SP53257

      Intel HD graphic:SP52220

      Ati Radeon HD6470M:SP54492

    1. hello,

First of all, all the drivers for your G4 automatically installed except graphic card, your model use AMD Radeon HD 6470M.

      1. Go to system - pereferences and select update manager. update (i recomend to install all). In certain case you won't be able to install driver without update your current ubuntu.

      open terminal and type:

      sudo apt-get upgrade
      sudo apt-get update

      2. Go to system -administration - hardware drivers, then you system will search for the drivers available. Then select activate.

      restart

      Note:
-this driver installation not going to provide capabilities like flgrx driver package. (it different stuff and i need to write a post if you want to tweak your graphic)

      In fedora

There are several way including installing via livina respitory. but i suggest install the driver provide by the ATI, you can download it here:
      Download link

before installing the drivers update your kernel first, type:

      yum update kernel
      yum install kernel-devel

      the after finsh download run
      bash ./ati-driver-installer-9-8-x86.x86_64.run

(insert ur password whenever prompted) restart.

      ____________________________

      Notes:

      1. All other including wifi, usb, modem , card reader should installed automatically.

      2. If you are using broadband, soem of them will work and some not. Example huawei modem normally installed correctly, while mediatek (like P1) still got problems with. (even i didn't manage to install it.

      good luck

    3. First Install windows xp SP3 enhancement:
      sp41426.exe

Then Install AMD HD 6470m :
      SP54492

      Intel HD Graphics
Here is the explanation, switchable graphics design to let you switch between low power consumption (Intel) and High performance graphic (AMD). If you are using Windows 7, Hp provide a driver package which will install both graphic at once. If you try to install them separately, it will not work.
Few years ago, I have this problem and what I did was install AMD graphic and disable Intel Graphic in Device manager. This mean it will only use AMD graphic for all application.

For now the best thing you can do is to install Intel Graphic first and then install AMD graphic. I'm not sure it will work or not but you can give it a try.

You can get the Intel Generic graphic drivers here:
      https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20611&ProdId=3231&lang=eng

If you already installed any drivers (Intel) or (AMD), please uninstall it first before proceed to install the drivers i recommend above.

    4. Greetings Mr.Black

I have followed all your instructions you mention above : install Windows XP SP3 Enhancement (sp41426) following the Intel Graphic and then the AMD RADEON 6470M.
and my results is the Intel HD Graphic works fine but the AMD RADEON 6470M didn't.
I forced installing AMD RADEON 6470M (SP54492) via device manager, and AMD RADEON 6470M still got warning (yellow sign) and it's still said cannot start the hardware.
I reinstalled my OS ,, disabled the Intel Graphic card in device manager and only intall the AMD RADEON Graphic but I still got the same problem happenned : "AMD RADEON 6470M still got warning (yellow sign) and it's still said cannot start the hardware"

is there any patch needed or driver modification around the net that i could possibly try mr.black ??

      Thanks

    5. Normally AMD graphic drivers only requires .netframework 4.0, I recommend to try with this version :
      8.91 : File Nmae: 8da10ww.exe
      or
      9.00SP62528

By the way, what is your laptop model, because I want to look for other information such as BIOS and drivers installation order. Maye there are newer BIOS to solve this or we need to install certain drivers before graphics such as chipset.

So, I feel Hp Windows XP SP3 Enhancement by HP is a not a good package for SP3 pack, try with the original SP3 from Microsoft
      http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5B33B5A8-5E76-401F-BE08-1E1555D4F3D4

After that uninstall the Intel HD graphic driver and install the 8.91 : File Name: 8da10ww.exe I gave earlier
