ACPI\MSFT0101 - Intel Trusted Platform for Windows 7

ACPI\MSFT0101 refer to Intel Platform Trust Technology (Intel PTT). Before installing the driver, please note that TPP designed for Windows 8, and as Windows 7 users, you will not have the advantage to use this feature. There are 2 ways you can fix this issue:

1. Download the hotfix provided by Microsoft:
Update to add support for TPM 2.0 in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
Download Link : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2920188

2. Disable TPP on BIOS.
Open BIOS, normally by pressing F2 (the key might differ from one model to another), go to security - advance and disable the Intel Trusted Platform.

Here is a usefull information from Microsoft support forum: Source

" Intel Platform Trust Technology (Intel PTT) is a type of virtual TPM. It resides in the FW of your NUC and is controlled by the system BIOS. The version of TPM it emulates is TPM v2.0, which is not recognized by Windows 7.

The hotfix from Microsoft will resolve the unknown device/yellow bang in Device Manager but will not make it usable. This is true for PCs that have a HW TPM v2.0 as well. There is no support for them under Windows 7 and no way to get them to work. TPM v1.2 and earlier are the ones supported by Windows 7.

For the ACPI\MSFT0101 unknown device you can also simply disable Intel PTT. On Intel NUCs Visual BIOS: BIOS Setup Advanced - Security - Security Features pane - uncheck Intel Platform Trust Technology. Intel PTT was created as a way of satisfying Microsoft's requirement that Client PCs have a TPM for newer Windows products (8.1 and later).

\Hope this helps.

PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller

Both PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller refer to Intel® Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework, also known as DPTF. The main function is to help enable thin, quiet, and cool platform designs. To solve the driver issue you need to download drivers provided by your laptop manufacturer. Is it important? I'm not so sure, but if you want my personal opinion, it would say it is not a big problem and will not bother my system. However, a user reported that without this driver his Yoga 13 (lenovo) getting slower.

Yellow mark on the PCI means your pc detect the hardware butdoes not recognize it.
 Note :
If you are using driver from other brand, such as using HP driver for your Asus notebook. You need to get permission from them first. Will it work? most of the time yes, but if you do get the permission, use it at your own risk.

The easiest way is to run windows automatic updates. However it is not guarantee that windows update will detect and download the drivers for you. Here is a quick list for most common model.

HP /Compaq:
Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (32 and 64-bit) : Download
Notes : This is the latest intel chipset driver for HP/Compaq model. The chipset will not only update the PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller but also other Intel chipset component.

Lenovo:
Windows 8/8.1/10 : 64-bit (Yoga) :Download
Windows 8/8.1/10 : 64-bit (Thinkpad) : Download

ASUS:
Windows 7/8 (32-64-bit) : Download

Advance User - Advance Installation. (If you prefer to get it from Microsoft)
If you want the driver from Microsoft, just go to Microsoft update catalog and search for  Intel® Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework. Choose the latest version depend on your windows version. Here is the result when i run the search:

How to install?
First download the driver from the update catalog, here is the URL and open it using Internet explorer:

http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=Intel(R)%20Dynamic%20Platform%20and%20Thermal%20Framework%20Manager%20

To download, click add, the view basket. Download the file. You will get a cabinet file (compressed file). Extarct it using Winrar or 7zip software. Now open device manager, right click on  PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller and select update driver.
-Select advance
-Click Browse and point to the driver folder we extract earlier.
-Continue with on screeen installation until finish.

Need this driver for your model? leave a comment, I will add it for you.

Intel Audio Drivers for Microsoft Windows

Intel does provide audio drivers for download on their download center. There are more than 100 audio drivers available such as Intel® HD Graphics and Intel® Display Audio Driver, Intel HDMI. Drivers from other manufacturer also available such as Realtek and IDT.
Intel HDMI audio with intel 965 graphic
Non Tech Savvy user might find it is hard to choose the correct drivers from the very huge drivers lists.
Here is the easy way to get the proper Intel audio/sound driver for any operating system such as Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1:

1. Go to : http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu
2. Click "Check your drivers for system updates".
3. It will ask to install active x, install it.
4. Then it will scan your system and will display available download.
5. The result will not only show audio drivers but also list out any available drivers updates for your system .
6. Download and then install the recommend updates.

If the result shows that your system need to install IDT audio drivers, you need to install KB888111 first which available on Microsoft Website. However this installation only for Windows XP.
I strongly recommend to perform windows automatic update first. Base on my experience, chipset drivers is the most important drivers before installing other drivers.
If you have an Intel graphics, you only need to install the graphic drivers because it will automatically install Intel HDMI drivers.

Intel 82830M Graphics Drivers Installation For Windows 7

There is no driver for Windows 7 released by Intel or any other 3rd party website. So, in this post I will show how to install Intel(R) 82830M driver in Windows 7.

Before start:
- If you already have any Intel Graphic extreme system tray installed,  uninstall it first.
- If you success install the driver using the method I describe below, but the driver uninstall itself after restart, disable your internet connection during the whole installation process.
- the driver in this tutorial is from Fujitsu, you are responsible to comply with the T&C if you are using this driver for other model. The best way is to download the driver released by Intel on any website that distribute the driver. Since the download link changes, I'm unable to provide one from Intel, I only have the link from Fujitsu and Nec Versa website.

1. Download Intel driver version 6.14.10.3741, you can Google it or use the driver below:

Intel 830M/845 Graphic Drivers
File Name :ST4110,ST4120,ST4121_VIDEO_INTEL_V6.14.10.3741_XP.exe
Version 6.14.10.3741
File Size : 5MB
Description: This driver design for Intel 82830M and 82845.
Download Link From Fujitsu:Download (exe)
Download Link From Nec Versa : Download (zip)

The driver already tested on one of the Dell Machine and worked

2. Extract the driver we downloaded earlier. For this tutorial I make folder in desktop and name it as Intel and extract the driver in that folder. If you use the driver from Fujitsu, you need Winrar software to extract the driver file. Remember the path of the extracted driver folder, we will need it later.

3. Open device manager by click start and type DEVMGMT.MSC and press enter.

2. Look for Video Controller Marked with yellow, right click on it and select update driver:

3. Select Browse my computer for Driver software.

4. Click Browse and Point to the driver folder we extracted earlier.

It is important to select the right folder so it will found the driver inf file.
Note that the driver inf  file (file that required for driver installation) is in Win2000 folder, so it is better to browse to that folder. In this example I extracted the driver file on a folder on desktop so the location will be: c:\User\YouComputerName\Desktop\Inte\ST4110,St4120.ST4121_VIDEO_INTEL_V6.14.10.3741-XP
(look at the picture below).

5. After clicking next, the installation will begin and will take few minutes to finish. Don't worry if it take too long, it is normal. After installation finish reboot your system. If it prompt to reboot, please do so.

6. After reboot, you wait until you see a pop up message "new hardware found" or "Installing device software" or similar, just click on it.

7. Wait until the round circle gone (installation finish). reboot once again. (Force reboot if windows prompt something)

8. Wait until  you see a pop-up like in step 6 and click on it.

9. Another installation will take place. Reboot once again util installation finish and reboot once again. (at first it will only show "Intel(R) 82830M Graphic Controller, but latr you will see it will install all driver component needed as you see in the picture below). One driver will not installed (see picture) but ignore it.

Now your graphic should be listed on device manager as Intel(R) 82830M Graphics Controller and this means you are successfully installed the graphic drivers.

Additional Notes:
1. What to do if the driver uninstall itself after reboot?
-Turn off Internet, try different driver version or try with your original windows XP Driver.

2. Is there any other method to install this driver, yes, there are different method availble for example you cn read it here:
http://laptop-driver.blogspot.com/2014/08/intel-82865g82845g-windows-7-drivers.html

Do let me know the results along with your notebook model, your feedback could help others.

Intel® 82865G/82845G Windows 7 Drivers
