  7. Hi suvajit.

Step by step to install windows XP in desktop system. (SP1, SP2 and SP3)

    1. Make sure to configure the right boot order, if you are installing windows xp with CD, set the CD ROM as the 1st boot device.
    2. Now change the SATA option in BIOS, make sure sata controller is enable, and on the "sata mode selection" choose AHCI. (Using UEFI Bios is easier)
    3. If you do not have that option in BIOS setting (I'm pretty sure you have that option). You must create a custom Windows XP Installation Disk using slipstream method.

    Slipstream Guide link: http://laptop-driver.blogspot.com/2009/10/slipstreaming-guide-to-install-windows.html

If you have a floppy disk, you can skip slipstream method and using your original windows XP CD, during the installation, press F6 to integrate the sata driver. So, you need top download and extract the sata driver into a floppy diskette.
