INSTALLATION:
Download and run the file by (right click and select run as admin) to install.
MANUAL INSTALLATION:
(you will need winrar software to extract the driver file.)
1. after download the wireless i recomend you put the driver on desktop and extarct the files there. (right click on the file you dowloaded, select extract files press ok)
2. open device manager - start - on the search box type DEVMGMT.MSC and press enter.
3.under network adapter list, right click on the devices with yellow (on the picture below it atheros with yellow), select UPDATE DRIVER
SOFTWARE. (the picture below only as example, your devices may show different label)
4.select 2nd option BROWSE MY COMPUTER FOR DRIVER SOFTWARE
then browse to the driver folder you extracted earlier on desktop (Atheros AR5007EG windows 7 folder) - press next and continue until finish.

ReplyDeleteAtheros.cz is a good driver sources site, the only thing is,it is not for all users, it more towards advance user because most of the drivers packed in compressed file and only contain driver file without autorun installation program. It only contain inf file which user must install it manually. But personally in my opinion it is one of the best network driver site.

DeleteHELP!My Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter doesn't appear in the device manager anymore. I had Win Vista before and now i installed Win 7. I've had this problem already before i installed windows 7 and i took my laptop to the store where i've been told that it's a typical vista-problem and that it will disappear when i make a recovery...Is anyone familiar with this??

ReplyDeleteI had an issue with my msi laptop. By latency the sound was distorted. By monitoring i found out it was the Atheros driver for windows 7. I had tried some but did not fix the issue.
