Check your model first, so you can download the right driver. Look at the sticker at the back of the laptop, the last 2 letter show what type of v3700, AMD or INTEL. There are 2 types of V3700 Which is AMD and INTEL.
Normally, the audio, wireless, intel graphic 965 automatically installed and you don't need to reinstall the driver. If not then install the driver below.

The microphone doesn't work? But shows "Green Check" and it is the default recording device. The level is set to '100' and even I updated the driver to the latest. Still no luck?

Look at the device manager, and look for your audio device and:
Delete1. What is the name of the audio device (example: high definition audio)
2. Get the hardware ID for it,
it is a common problem in V2000 and V3000 series and normally we need a specific driver base on the hardware ID to get the mic to work.

1. Make a restore point (safety precaution).
Delete2. Uninstall current audio drivers by go to the device manager, right lick on the conexant smart audio 221 and select uninstall.
3. Do not reboot after uninstall, Download this driver: Download Link
4. Extract the file and run SETUP as admin to install.
Audio driver failed to install! I tried it in all computability modes (Win 7/Vista/Vista SP1/Vista SP2). It says "Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver"

I followed the steps but still no luck! It's showing as "Working with Green Check" but the microphone is not picking up any sounds:(

my presario v 3700 was changed to v3908tu (by HP scan) and my windows 7 ultimate doesn't recognized my sound driver

Look at number 3, it is the right model. Look at the device manager, did it list the audio with yellow mark?

Windows 7 will install your webcam driver automatically, just cluck start and type camera on the search box. If no camera was detected :
Delete1. Install webcam driver : Download
2. Install Cyberlink Youcam : Download
Note: If installing HP webcam driver resulting in error, re-install the driver using compatibility mode for windows vista

run windows updates, do check your device manager, look at imaging device you will see webcam listed, and make sure there are no devices marked with yellow.
compaq v3700 tk boleh guna sound speaker dlm windows 10,kalu guna headset blh dengar.

DeleteKlik kanan lagi (kat mana2) dan pilih scan for hardware change.
restart tgok jadi x audio.
Kalau xjadi, download drivers untuk windows vista(dari hp website), try install guna compatibility mode atau manual guna device manager.
last skali kalau xjadi jgak, try bagi hardware ID untuk audio sy tlg cuba modifiedkan driver tu.
do you have an audio driver for hp compaq presario v3760TU? my laptop does not detect any external microphone, and it's because Windows 7 have no driver for this compaq model at least as far as microphone is concerned.
