AN error cause by HP Accelerometer after Windows update appeared to be one of the unresolved issue. This problem straightly related to HP 3d Drive Guard Software (HP Protect Smart Hard Drive). You will also notice the start up time became longer than usual. The most common stable drivers currently used to fix this problem is SP82228 and you can download it from HP ftp server here:

They recommend to update with the following driver version:

and on the readme file they stated:
FIXES:
- Fixes an issue which causes a Compatibility Assistant pop-up window to be
displayed when the system is powered on
The last thing you can do if all the solution does not work is to uninstall the current HP 3D Drive Guard protection from your notebook. This will get rid of the error message.
