If you already have webcam driver installed and it is not working, unistall current driver from device manager by right click on the driver and select uninstall as shown in the picture below.

Restart your laptop and install the drivers provided above. If your webcam didn't work in all OS including XP, Vista, 7 and Windows 8 you might need to clean inside your cam (dust) and check for lose wire. This may sound strange but often happen.
NOTE:
Choose base on your specs refer to:"Normally, DELL not necessarily equip all N5110 with the same devices such as wireless and bluetooth, so you may need to choose driver base on your specification. If you not sure which to choose, try which work for you. Installing wrong driver will not harm your system. Remember to uninstall unwanted driver in control panel.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
One of the good things about windows 7 is many of the drivers installed automatically.
Normally the driver you need to install is:
1. Chipset
2. Card reader
3. Bluetooth
4. Graphic
If I have the driver installed automatically after windows 7 drivers, can i install using the driver above gain? is there any problem?
So far from my experience, there are no problem reinstalling the drivers, or if you have the drivers installed along windows 7 drivers, and you want to install it again using above driver, there is no problem at all.
What if there are problem?
you an simply make system restore, start your laptop and press F8 repeatedly and select safe mode, make system restore.
thanks for the drivers
ReplyDeleteit helped me a lot to use the driver downloads at the right time...

My n5110 doesn't detect LAN even though there is a LAN card. Wireless works fine i can connect internet internet with wifi but not with that yellow wire LAN thingy. Ideally when you plug that yellow LAN wire you should get a light at the port but thats not happening. What do i do ?
ReplyDeleteHi Imran,
Delete1. First thing make sure you install the LAN drivers which can be foun here:
R29245
2. Make sure the LAN drivers installed, you can check by open device manager, and under network adapter you will see Realtek Lan Ethernet adapter listed.
3. Make sure your LAN is enable, you can do that by click start and on the search box "view network connection". Look for local area connection (Realtek, right click and select enable, you also can disable and enable back the LAN.
Report back the progress.
Thanks for your reply Aziz.
DeleteI've followed the instructions you mentioned in your post. When I tried to install LAN drivers (R29245), it gives me the following message when the installation completes -
"The Realtek Network Controller was not found.
If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable."
And I still cant see network adapter in device manager.
Please advice what should I do next?
Thanks again.
I think next is to discharge your laptop, remove battery for maybe 15 minutes, if you can remove the RAM please do so, and put it back and turn it on again, see if there any changes. You can also go to bios and select load default setting if remove the battery didn't work.
Deletereport back the progress. If your LAN detected:
Open Device Manager:
1. Go to Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Choose System and Security
4. Click Device Manager (under System)
Open Network Controller properties:
1. Double-click Network adapters to expand it
2. Double-click the Realtek Network Controller
Turn off Deep Sleep mode:
1. Choose the Power Management tab
2. Untick “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
Nope. Nothing worked. Still doesn't show Realtek in Network Adapter (in Device Manager), don't know what to do.
DeleteIs there Ethernet controller show in device manager or else marked with yellow (!) mark, If yes, get the hardware ID for that and post it here.
DeleteIf you need guide: Hardware ID
No it does't show in Device Manager so I cannot get the hardware ID neither can I turn off the Deep Sleep mode.
DeleteI've left the battery out over night it still doesn't detect the LAN card.
DeleteI hope you already reset bios by press F9 reset, and press F10(exit and save), in bios for certian model, (im not sure with n5110) there are options to enable and disable LAN.
DeleteEthernet sometimes name as Simple PCI controller in device manager (very rare case).
Incomplete windows installation sometimes effect hardware detection, even you successfully installed windows, sometimes certain file not completely install (bug) during the installation, this normally caused by bad CD or MOD windows ISO/DVD/Installation. Installing Using USB is a better choice instead of using DVD.
Last but not least, hardware faulty, you can check this by installing other version of OS such as windows XP, or simple Linux dist such as Linux mint. Check the Ethernet connections.
