      yup, CQ62 build for win 7, but you can install windows XP by using slipstream method

    You need to have sata drivers along with the Windows XP CD to install it on your Compacq CQ62-104TU laptop

    What error did u het after try to install windows xp? if it said no HDD detected mean u need to perform slipstream to install windows. Note that beside slipstream some model have the AHCI/IDE mode mode in BIOS to enable windows xp installation, but normally this feature not available for Compaq model.

    Hi I hav purchased CQ 62 105TU witout genuine OS and hav installed 32bit Win & in that. If i download the drivers and install it is saying not compatible with your OS. Pls help me out. I need WI Fi,Webcam,graphic drivers atleast.And keys such as volume and brightness not working. Pls help..
