ReplyDeleteFor the touchpad just take the vista drivers but use the setup file in the wdm folder. Then it doesn't complain about the OS and will install with the extra touchpad functions.

Thanks for the updates but, as I wrote, it was my mistake in trying to install the applictions I had previously downloaded from the Acer site.
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiosity why Acer doesn't post these new versions?
Are they from Acer or someone's hacks?
Any chance in getting the eNet one too?
Many thanks
Aminul, after you have installed the framework, right click on it and select "Troubleshoot compatibility".
ReplyDeleteIt's the only one that needs it since the different applications work fine.

ReplyDeleteI have an ACER 6530G with a new full install of Win7. A web search discovered a Win7 version of the Empowering Framework. It installed fine. I then went to the ACER site and downloaded the Vista eDataSecurity, ePower and eSystem. They loaded with no problems whatsoever. As eAudio is not available at Acer, I used the one listed here. Again, no problems. All run fine. The filename that I found for the Win 7 version of the Framework is ETF_v3.0.3013_W7.exe
ReplyDeleteThe file link can be found at http://www.theacerguy.com/forum/topic/empower-tech-framework-button-windows-7
Hope this helps

thank you very much!
my laptop aspire 5920 windows 7...
ReplyDelete# when i press wifi button it is coming as wireesslan disabled..
# i am not getting enet manager
i encrypted my pictures and i forgot password.Plz let me know how can i recover those pictures ?
ReplyDeleteThere are several ways to do that.
Delete1. Uninstall the software you use to encrypt the pictures and select to restore the picture.
2. If there are no option to restore during the un-installation process, perform SYSTEM RESTORE.
3. The best method that always worked for me is installing UBUNTU inside windows, log in to UBUNTU and you can access all the pictures that u encrypt.
4. The other thing is (i never try this) but i believe worth a try,: create a new user account (admin acc) and log in to windows using that account.
that's all i can share for now
I had an ACER 4710 with Vista Home Premium 32-bit. When I tried upgrading to win 7, it recommended keeping connected to the net. Then it told me that Acer Arcade, Acer eNet Management, MagicDisc ISO and NTI Backup NOW! 4.5 won't work. On upgrade it downloaded the relevant updates for the other drivers, so everything else worked fine.
ReplyDeleteI tried the eNet Management file that you have provided, and although the initial screen comes up, all the buttons are dimmed, so nothing can be done or seen.
Right click on eNet management and select PROPERTIES - COMPATIBILITY - set 'run his program in compatibility mode for' select windows vista.
DeleteThen right click again on eNet shortcut and select run as admin.
i have an acer travelmate 6592 a 32 bt OS and am now using 7 home basic, i have tried the data security v2.5.3028 and it said the software is malfunctioning and i tried the 3.0.3060 and it installs fine but fails to initialise and just stop at the initialisation of fingerprint. please help i need the data security

DeleteAcer Empowering Technology.zip
ReplyDeletethis link doesnt work
I've an Acer 9524 installed Windows 7 ultimate in a second partition internal bluetooth is dead and not discovered during the installation and in device manager. Bt is visible and working in Win xp.. Anyone can help me pls why internal BT is dead in WIN 7???
ReplyDeleteLog in into windows XP and look under network adapter, you will see the bluetooh devices listed, right click and select properties, select details and on the drop down menu select hardware ID and post it here. Sometimes it is listed under Bluetooh adapter/usb/radios.
DeleteIf you no longer using windows XP, open device manager in windows 7.
If the driver not yet installed:
-You should see "other device" listed and under it it will show "bluetooth peripheral device" or such marked with yellow.
(get the hardware ID and post it here)
If the driver installed:
-it should be listed under bluetooh or network or modem.
(in this case open control panel, look for bluetooh and enable discovery)
Eframe Worked, but only vista sp1 mode! So dont give on first try Vista only. Thanks OP!
ReplyDeletethanks for the tips =)
DeletePlease, give me the link to the proper/working version of ACER Empowering Technology for ACER Aspire E1-531,Win 7 Ultimate.I tested more frameworks and components;some frameworks appeared on the screen but there were not any components inside them although I had installed them.
ReplyDeleteCould anyone install a Bluetooth device and make it work on ACER Aspire E1-531?
Thanks.
Last weekend I upgraded an Aspire 9920G Vista Ultimate 32 to Windows 7 prof. 64. All worked out pretty well, except three missing HW drivers. For one of them I employed the corresponding Vista64 driver from Acer and for the other two (Infrared & Smart-Card) I used some help from http://www.driveridentifier.com/
ReplyDeleteWhen reinstalling the Empowering SW (starting with the framework), eAudio showed the following message
"This software can only be installed in authorized machine".
First I thought that the laptop is no longer recognized as an Acer machine, but after decompiling the Installer (setup.inx), I discovered, that this message is displayed, when the installer fails to read the 'BaseFolder' Key from the registry (Software\Acer\Empowering Technology 2.5\Framework\BaseFolder).
The entry was there, but it was only set in the native 64 bit part of the registry and not in the the 32 bit node (Software\Wow6432Node\...), where the installer looked for it.
After manually setting this key in the 32 bit registry, the eAudio installed without troubles.
Maybe, this info helps anyone...
I tried installing the first update drivers and run as adminstrator but still not working on my 6920g Win7
ReplyDeletenow it works...thanks man
ReplyDeleteI have a Aspire 9920G, clean install Windows 7 x64, latest drivers ok, cpu fan doesn't work. After reading a lot about this problem, I figured out that I had to install acer empowering framework and epower. ok installed the good versions I guess, Everything seems to be working but the fan only works when I turn the laptop on, after 15 min. the VGA board get hot and the cpu too.
ReplyDeleteI uded epower 3.0.3010 en ETF 3.0.3006. Does anybody have a clue about this ?
Thanks in advance,
Roger.
I also have an Acer Aspire 9810, clean install Windows 7 x64, the same problem. CPU doesn't cool the system. If I find the solution to the first one (Aspire 9920) I'll be able to fix this one too.
ReplyDeleteThanks again.
Roger.
can you tell us your current temperature, you can check it using software such as speed fan
DeleteThat Program really suckS!
ReplyDeletewhat kind of stuck????
ReplyDeleteHi there... quick question. I am in the same situation as a lot of people upgrading from vista 64 to windows 7 ultimate 64. I can get lots of the empowering stuff to work and your downloads are handy but is there a specific trick I am missing in getting my aspire 8730G volume touch slider on the right hand side of my laptop to work properly? All I can do is mute or hold. The slider moves up and down on screen at the same time but does not affect the sound level. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBase on my research, not much i can share. But here is my recommendation, make a restore point in case my recommendation decrease your current empowering performance.
DeleteTry with this version:
ver 3.0.3007
or
ver 3.0.3009
To install extract the driver and right click on setup and select properties. Select COMPATIBILITY and set to VISTA.
Right click again setup and select run as admin to install.
Thanks the softwares, it worked for me
ReplyDeletewillit success on my acer travelmate 3250?
